My name is Asa – I’m the founder of Wayfinders Media Agency.

I went through a lot as a young man, including depression and years of being on and off suicidal for 7 years. I didn’t think I was going to make it through.

Going through this darkness was the greatest blessing. (I’ll tell you why in a minute)

I turned my life around. I built a business doing something I loved; photography & videography, and working for many online businesses, experts, facilitators, and service providers that I was inspired to support.

I had traveled to 6 continents by the time I was 22, I was in no debt, I had no boss, and I had full freedom of my calendar.

I apprenticed, then become a men’s wilderness rite of passage guide.

I moved to the Virgin Islands to live with my partner and her sons.

I took my little sister traveling and had the rest of my family come visit me.

I share this with you because both the highs and lows of my life experiences have taught me how to connect with people and understand the art of storytelling.

Starting my business working with successful leaders & mentors taught me how to tell stories in business.

I learned secrets of marketing, how to grow businesses for my clients – and how to lead my own business and team.

My darkness taught me how to feel.

It gave me the ability to feel how others feel. To know the pain in the world, and also how good it feels to be fully alive on the other side of suffering and struggles with mental health.

Becoming a guide and facilitator taught me how to listen, and hold space for one’s own personal transformation.

I learned to see the world through story, see patterns, and overcome the discomfort of guiding others, even those who had more years on this planet than me.
